Department head word
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, for His blessings that cannot be counted.
I am pleased to emphasize that the Tissues and Genetics Department (Histology) is one of the academic departments at the Faculty of Medicine in Gharyan. It teaches the science of cells and human genetics, as well as tissue science to first and second-year students of the Faculty of Medicine. The staff members and teaching assistants in the department collectively contribute to the educational process at the college level.
Together with our colleagues in the department, we aim to continue the efforts of our predecessors by focusing on the educational process for our students. We encourage staff members and teaching assistants in the department to participate in all scientific forums organized by the college, university, or other institutions. This includes scientific conferences, workshops, seminars, and discussion sessions, as well as engaging in research activities by publishing studies in reputable scientific journals. Additionally, we are committed to monitoring the progress of the educational process at the college, which is fundamental in this regard.
To the best of our abilities and within the available resources at the college, we strive to develop and update course materials. We particularly emphasize the practical aspects of courses to keep pace with any advancements, aiming to positively impact students' achievements and help them apply their knowledge after graduation.
Through the department's research and operational plan, we collectively work towards contributing to the scientific advancement of students, the college, and the university. Our goal is to achieve a good level of local and international ranking in accordance with quality standards. We commend all members of the department for their dedicated efforts in the educational process.
